


Peabody that Junior was returned 30 times, Ben decides to love him, which no one else has ever done before. Horrified, Ben decides to return Junior however, after hearing from Mr. Finally, Junior wins a Little League game by belting rival players with a bat for bullying him. Ben gives Junior his lucky prune, which his grandfather gave him shortly before he died, and which he considered a special bond. He then sabotages Lucy Henderson's 6th birthday party, after she snobbily bans him from her magic show for touching her presents. Next, Junior ruins a camping trip with Ben and Flo’s neighbor Roy and his family by urinating on the campfire and luring in a bear to scare his children. Junior throws Flo's cat at Big Ben and they both fall down the stairs and are injured. Junior's bedroom catches fire when he shorts out the clown lights, and Big Ben calls him "The Devil". Shortly after Ben and Flo bring Junior home, Big Ben visits them and is shocked that they adopted. The film is interspersed with scenes of an imprisoned Martin looking to escape and meet Junior.

Last year, the network went to pilot on a remake of Tom Hanks and Shelley Long‘s The Money Pit, but ultimately pushed the multicamera comedy after problems finding a lead. This marks the second pilot season in a row that NBC has looked to a Universal feature for comedy. CBS has Rush Hour and Limitless, while Fox has Minority Report, with original producers involved in all of them. Overall, Problem Child becomes the fourth film-to-TV take to earn a pilot order this season and the first at NBC. It joins Fox family comedy 48 Hours ‘Til Monday. Key to their success is having the original producers involved in some capacity, which Grazer fulfills with Problem Child.įor Traugott and Kaplan, this marks the duo’s second pilot order of the season.
